发明名称 REMOVAL OF WATER FROM WATER-CONTAINING GAS
摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To efficiently remove moisture in the air at a low equipment cost and recover as dried air by passing it through a selective surface flow adsorbent membrane consisting of an alumina gel or a silica gel. CONSTITUTION: The removal of moisture from the air stream supplied through a line 20 is carried out at a membrane dryer unit 22. A major portion of moisture is removed from the compressed air stream at the dryer unit 22 incorporating the selective surface flow adsorbent membrane. The membrane consists of thin layers of finely-porous dried adsorption film having about 1-50μm film thickness and about 15 Angstroms, generally about 4-10 Angstroms, pore diameter. Steam being a permeate gas from the dryer unit 22 is discharged through a line 26 together with a dry gas supplied to the lower pressure side of the dryer unit 22 through another line 24 and the dried air being a non-permeate gas is discharged through a line 28.</p>
