PURPOSE:To obtain the subject lubricant free of a chlorofluorocarbon solvent. CONSTITUTION:This lubricant is prepared by dispersing polytetrafluoroethylene of a particle diameter of 0.5-40mum in water. Alternatively, this composition is prepared by dispersing polytetrafluoroethylene having a particle diameter of 0.5-40mum in an aqueous polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion containing polytetrafluoroethylene of a particle diameter of 0.1-0.4mum. The particle diameter of the polytetrafluoroethylene dispersed is desirably 0.5-20mum. To improve the fixability of the polytetrafluoroethylene, it is suitable to add a binder of a resin emulsion type thereto. As the coating process, an immersion coating process is adopted, and when the uniform coating on the surface of a wire is necessary, it is suitable to adopt an electrostatic spray coating process. It is also effective to add a suitable surfactant to the coating fluid. |
