PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal head which is capable of printing at a high speed with no trailing phenomena and an improvement in print quality by applying a heat-conductive adhesive between the upper face of a ceramic substrate with a heating element on the lower face and a heat emitting element. CONSTITUTION:A heating element 1 is provided on one side of a ceramic substrate 2 and a heat emitting element 3 is attached on the other side of the ceramic substrate 2 to emit the heat generated by the heating element 1. The heat emitting element 3 is attached on the ceramic substrate 2 with a heat- conductive adhesive 4a having a heat transfer coefficient of 2.5X1/1000cal/ cm.sec. deg.C or higher. As a result, a thermal head capable of printing at a high- speed can be obtained with no trailing phenomena and improvement in the print quality. |
