PURPOSE:To produce a cloth for the surface-activation of water by coating a cloth with fine powder of tourmaline using a binder and to provide a process for producing the cloth. CONSTITUTION:Fine powder of tourmaline 21 is mixed with the following binder 22, applied to a cloth 10 such as cotton cloth with a roller and dried to form a coating film 20 applied to the cloth. The binder 22 is a liquid mixture composed mainly of an acrylic resin and an acrylic styrene resin and emulsified mainly with an anionic substance and a nonionic substance. The pH of the binder is 3.0-9.5 (especially 5.9-9.5) and the DC resistivity of the binder is about 10<4> to 10<8>OMEGA.cm (especially about 10<5> to 10<7>OMEGA.cm) in the state incorporated with the tourmaline fine powder. The obtained sheet has high durability and softness and, nevertheless, has high surface-activation effect on water compared with a fiber containing tourmaline powder kneaded in the fiber. |
