PURPOSE:To facilitate inspection of an engine and mounting and demounting of a top cowling by a method wherein a rotation pin in a horizontal state is fixed to two top and bottom cowlings, the two rotation pins are intercoupled through a crank, and the top cowling is rotatably supported on the bottom cowling. CONSTITUTION:Stays 5d and 6d are fixed to the rear positions of bottom and top cowlings 5 and 6 of which a cowling consists. Rotation pins 7a5 and 7b5 in a horizontal state are arranged in parallel to the stay 5d on the bottom side. Similarly, rotation pins 7a6 and 7b6 are also arranged in parallel to the stay 6d on the top side. The rotation pins 7a5, 7a6, 7b5, and 7b6 are intercoupled through respective links 7a and 7b. In this case, the intermediate part of a link (b) is curved in the shape of a crank. A mechanism to open and close the top cowling 6 from and to the bottom cowling 5 is designed to comprise the stays 5d and 6d. |
