PURPOSE:To obtain a detergent composition lowly irritating and excellent in foaming properties, foam quality, long-term stability and the feeling of use by mixing a specified anionic surfactant with a specified alkyliminodicarboxylate type amphoteric surfactant. CONSTITUTION:This detergent composition is prepared by mixing (a) an acylalkyltaurate type anionic surfactant of formula I, an acylisethionate type anionic surfactant of formula II or an amidoether sulfate type anionic surfactant of formula III with (b) an alkyliminodicarboxylate type amphoteric surfactant of formula IV in an (a) to (b) weight ratio of 10/1 to 1/10. In the formulas, R<1>CO is 10-22C aliphatic acyl; R<2> is 1-3C alkyl; M<1> is an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal or the like; R<3>CO is 10-22C aliphatic acyl; R<5> is H or the like; (n) is 2-15; M<3> is an alkali metal or the like; R<6> is 10-22C alkyl or the like; R<7> and R<8> are each 1-3C alkylene; and M<4> and M<5> are each H, an alkali metal or the like. |
