The electron gun includes a focus electrode having respectably a frontal three-polar-tube cathode, a controlling electrode, a screen electrode and a second electrode forming a quardrupole lens in case of deflecting an electron gun and a final accelerating electrode forming a main lens constructed near the first electrode, wherein outgoing side of the first electrode and the incoming side of the second electrode are formed in such manner that each central area of the electron-beam penetrating hole is protruding than electron-bean penetrating hole respectably as a step, thereby compensating for distortion by an ununiformed magnetic field of deflection yoke and increasing the characteristic of convergence by forming the polar lens asymmetrically and resolution of the cathode ray tube.
