The polyester dipcord for tire is prepd. by doubling and twisting the polyester yarn contg. above 85 mole% of polyethylene terephthalate, and dipping into rubber solution. In the process, the polyester elongated yarn having 12-18 % of the cutting elongation, 7.0-8.0 g/d of strength and 33-40 % of the degree of crystalization is dipped in resorcinol formaline latex solution, and is heat stretched to 2-4 % at 245-260 deg.C without drying process, and is relaxed to 3-5 %. The polyester dipcord has below 2.5 % of dry heat shrinkage rate (177 deg.C x 50 g x 30 min), below 4.5 % of midle elogation under .45 kg, above 85 % of strength use rate and below 7.0 of dimensional stability coefficient.
