Dispenser for materials in liquid or semi-liquid form - uses air and water pressure applied indirectly to dispense liquid without contact from outside air

The dispenser includes a reservoir (4) containing a chamber (3) of an elastomer material, which is inflated by water-pressure and expels the air into an adjacent air chamber (5) through a non-return outlet valve (6) while its intake valve (7) is closed. The dispenser incorporates a contact switch (8) which is operated by the elastomer chamber when it is filled and pressurised, closing electrical contacts (9) linked to a valve with a timer which shuts off the water inlet (1) and opened the outlet, allowing the chamber to deflate. At the end of the timed period the switch reverses the process and inflates the chamber (3) again. The air pressure resulting from the inflation of the chamber is transmitted to another elastomer chamber (13), dispensing the liquid from a container (18) surrounding it when a valve (19) is opened. USE/ADVANTAGE - Allows liquids or semi-liquids to be dispensed without contact with outside air, e.g. for use in hospital or bar.
