The billboard consists of a frame (1) surrounding a series of rotary bars (2) made from rectangular-section aluminium extrusions with stainless steel strips rivetted to their edges so that they project on one or both sides. The bars are rotated by means of a drive and transmission system enclosed in the frame. Each rotary bar has end spindles set in bearings and with sprockets at one end, connected by chains to adjacent bars, and with one bar connected to the drive motor. Once a poster has been stuck to one face of the bars it is cut along vertical lines between the edges of the bars. This enables the bars to rotate, carrying the poster strips, so that another poster can be displayed on the opposite side. USE/ADVANTAGE - Allows normal paper posters to be used, pasted one on top of another without having to clean the bars each time the poster is changed.
