Thin endless belt with long service life - has collared perforations on face furthest from arriving solidifying solids, used for manufacture of granular products

Solidifying solids are made by passing solidifying droplets from outlets (15) on a vessel (14) through perforations on an endless belt. The novelty is that the belt (2) is made of thin sheet metal (25), and that the perforations (12) have a collar (26,26') on the face of the belt away from the outlets (15). Pref the collars have a chamfered rim (30) to aid insertion in the belt (2) perforations (12), into which they are located by a surrounding groove (31). USE/ADVANTAGE - The assembly makes granular solids from solidifying droplets. The thin sheet metal belt (2) provides for long life combined with flexibility, while the collars (26,26') hold solidifying droplets of the required size.
