Commissioning decentralised redundant equipment in communications system - dividing operating programmes before loading into segments common to all peripherals and segments for specific peripherals

The commissioning method transfers programmes and data to the communication system peripherals, the programmes and data being segmented during storage and fed to pairs of redundant peripherals (PE1,PEi) via redundant distribution devices (MBO...MB1). Each of the latter is coupled to each pair of peripherals via a respective pair of lines, with a synchronous connection between each redundant peripheral pair. The programme is divided into segments common to all peripherals and segments specific to different peripherals, the synchronous connections between the peripherals used during programme loading to reduce the programme loading time. ADVANTAGE - Reduces programme loading time by 50 per cent.
