The control device has a control stage (Q) incorporating a miniature transistor and logic gates, receiving input signals for the setting adjustment of the mirror and for on-off switching of the heating element (H), provided by switches and/or sensors (3...7). The control stage is connected on the output side to three half-bridges (11,12,13) providing the operating voltages for the mirror adjustment (setting) motors (M1,M2), and the heating element. One half-bridge (11) has a transistor (T1) and associated diode providing a current for the heating element and one setting motor, the other half-bridges (12,13) having transistors (T2..T6) and diodes (D2..D6) providing the currents for the setting motors. ADVANTAGE - Min. wiring between control device and mirror housing.
