The metal closure has a lid (1.1) which holds the inner seal of the rotary closure and a straight closure tube (1.2). A safety spring ring (1.3) set in the closure tube provides a tamper-evident indicator and at the same time ensures a connection between the upper and lower part of the tube even after the initial opening. The closure lid serves to securely hold a circular plate- like seal which can have sealing ribs or lips on the side facing the bottle opening. The spring ring can be a simple security ring (1.3) with horizontally aligned recessed slits with connecting webs (1.4) for connecting the top and bottom parts of the tube. Ideal break points (1.5) above a horizontal reinforcement ring (1.6) can also be provided. USE- For bottle mouths having relatively wide tolerances.
