An assembly to convert solidifying droplets into granular particles consists of a flexible endless belt with perforations. The novelty is that the belt (2) incorporates a full width geometric lattice web of wire strands (16,17); further that perforations (12) in the belt are arranged in a regular sequence within the gaps (18) which exist between strands. Pref the metal strands are combined at right angles as a chained lattice belt. The required perforations are made by inductive means using the strands as conductors. USE/ADVANTAGE - The assembly converts solidifying droplets into granular particles. The belt is simple to fabricate and durable in operation.
