The suction assembly to remove fibre residue and lint or the like from a textile machine, has a number of suction channels (12) combined together into a suction pipe (6) which is held and supported at both sides. Pref. the suction pipe (6) has a box housing (7) with a number of suction channels (12) drawn through it and held together by linking ribs and a leading apron (19) across the channels (12). Side aprons are on both sides of the suction opening (15), at right angles to the suction pipe, with a hollow throat structure. The suction opening (15) has a width matching the section of the feed roller defined by lint strips, where the drifting yarns move along the roller. USE/ADVANTAGE - The assembly is for the suction extraction of dirt and debris from a textile machine, and especially at the feed roller to a ring spinner. The assembly is easily produced and used, with defined air flows into the suction opening.
