PURPOSE:To perform complete combustion of combustible gas and to eliminate unburnt matters or NOx by providing a housing section of combustion catalyst contg. the combustion catalyst therein to the inside of a reforming vessel and embedding a combustor in the combustion catalyst in the housing part of the catalyst. CONSTITUTION:Perforated trays 20 are provided to the neighbourhood of a heat conductive packed layer 9, and a combustion burner nozzle 6 is embedded in the combustion catalyst 21 in a case 22 for housing the combustion catalyst 21. By this constitution, the combustion gas and combustion air cause combustion in the inside of the combustion catalyst 21, thus, obtd. high temp. gas flows out into the external combustion chamber 7 through the perforated trays 20. As the result, the combustion gas is completely burnt, therefore, formation of unburnt matters as occurred often in the conventional process or generation of NOx-rich combustion waste gas is inhibited. Therefore, problem of environmental contamination is prevented. |
