The airtight and gastight door is for sealed rooms, esp air-raid shelters and civil defence shelters. The door leaf (4) is reinforced and there are a number of secure locking bolts or anchors (14) at each edge of the door, engaging with fittings on the door frame. There are hinges (7a-c) at one edge of the door with vertical pins engaging with brackets (6a-c) bolted onto the door frame using hexagonal-headed bolts.
