<p>A composition for providing a supply of water-based cooling mixture, the temperature of which when utilised is lower than the ambient temperature and higher than the freezing point of water, which composition consists essentially of a mixture of water and a chemical compound selected from one or more of dimethyl ether, a homologue of dimethyl ether and a chemical derivative of dimethyl ether. The mixture can be sprayed using a pressurized container which may comprise an additional propellant such as nitrogen. The mixture may be employed in drinks, anti-perspirants, air-freshners, skin-coolants, sun-screen products, soap and insect-repellant compositions. The mixture can be sprayed into vehicle interiors as a means to cool the air and hot surfaces.</p> |
