A method and a device for removing a low-melting embedding body from a higher-melting embedded element are described, a groove being made along the moulding-in base of the element and the halves of the embedding body produced being removed by splaying out the groove. The method and the device are particularly suitable for separating embedded vanes and blades from the embedding body created during production.
