A polyolefin resin composition containing carbon black, which comprises: (A) polyolefin resin containing carbon black; (B) phenolic compound selected from those of formula (I): <CHEM> wherein R<1> is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; (C) organic sulfur compound selected from formulae (II-1) and (II-2): (R<2> - OCOCH2CH2)2S (II-1) (R<2> - SCH2CHCOOCH2)4C (II-2) wherein R<2> is alkyl of 4 to 20 carbon atoms; (D) piperidine compound having at least one 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine ring in a molecule; and (E) epoxy compound of bisphenol A type glycidyl ether. The composition has good thermal stability against oxidation.
