<p>Method for monitoring the pressure of the tyres of a vehicle equipped with a centralised inflation installation making it possible to trigger an alarm when a tyre accidentally deflates. The installation carries out instantaneous pressure measurements on each tyre, compares them to the reference pressure, adjusts the pressure if the discrepancy between the measured value and the reference is greater than a given threshold, and triggers an alarm if the time elapsed since the previous adjustment is less than a predetermined value, provided that there has not been any change in the reference value since the time of the last adjustment.
