The facsimile control method comprises the steps of: transmitting a receiving request signal to a computer when a ring signal is sensed; changing a relay to a facsimile mode when a receiving ready completion signal is received from a computer and receiving a digital command signal of a calling party; receiving a training signal and adjusting a transmission speed; transmitting a receiving mode to the computer; receiving image data when a mode sensing signal is received from the computer, thereby effectively managing received image data.
