The facsimile control method comprises the steps of: transmitting a transmitting ready completion signal when a transmitting request signal is sensed from a computer; changing a relay to a facsimile mode and dialing a telephone number of a called party; receiving a called station identification and a digital identification signal and transmitting a telephone number sensing signal to the computer; receiving a transmitting mode from the computer and transmitting a digital command signal to a facsimile; transmitting a training signal to the facsimile and adjusting a transmission speed when a training failure signal is received; and transmitting data to the facsimile. The method increases data transmission efficiency.
