PURPOSE:To prepare a polyamide film excellent in the antistatic properties and transparency by producing a sheet from a pelletized polyamide resin precoated with a specific antistatic agent using a self-heat-buildup type mixer under a specified temp. condition. CONSTITUTION:In a method for producing an oriented polyamide film wherein an antistatic agent is added to a polyamide resin, which is then melt extruded into a sheet, and the sheet is biaxially oriented, a pelletized polyamide resin precoated with an antistatic agent having a solidifying point at least 100 deg.C lower than the m.p. of the polyamide resin (pref. a polyethylene glycol and/or a metal salt deriv. of a sulfonic acid) is used. The polyamide resin is precoated with the agent at 40 deg.C or higher using self-heat-buildup type mixer wherein the temp. is raised to a point not higher than the solidifying point of the agent plus 100 deg.C by generated heat. Thus, a polyamide film excellent in the antistatic properties and transparency is produced with an excellent operating stability and at a low cost since additional melt molding and drying processes can be dispensed with unlike in the conventional master pellet method. |
