The invention relates to a casing for a liquid-tight packing, made of cardboard composite material coated with plastic, and having a longitudinal seam. When turning down an edge strip (4) of the layer inside the seam, in order to achieve a straight edge, composite material (7) is first removed along the fold line of the edge strip (4), to be turned over, in a narrow zone on the inside, bounded by the fold. This removal can be carried out precisely and at low cost in terms of equipment. In this way, the precondition for the production of a straight edge at the position of the fold of the turned-over edge strip (4) is met. <IMAGE> |
