A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprises a support and provided thereon, a silver halide emulsion layer containing spectrally sensitized silver halide grains having a silver chloride content of not less than 90 mol%, a cyclic compound having a 9- or more-membered ring containing a hetero atom, and at least one compound represented by the following formula (S): <CHEM> wherein Q represents an atomic group necessary to form 5- or 6-membered hetero cyclic ring, provided that said Q may form a condensed ring with a benzene ring; and M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom, or an ammonium group.
