The binding for a ski boot fixes the rear part of the boot and (1) comprises a fixed part (2) which fixes the boot heel with at least two upwardly extending flanges (3, 4). These flanges support a wire (5) which forms a loop (25) extending from the one flange to the other and which encloses the boot heel. The free parts (6, 7) of the wire ends at a distance in front of the respective fastening position (8, 9) in the flanges, which corresponds to the length of at least a spring component (10, 11) enclosing the wire. The spring component is tensioned between a stop (12, 13) on the flanges and a stop (14, 15) at the wire end. The spring component is compressible with the rearward drawing of the wire loop to produce a temporary retention of the ski boot to the fixture unit (16, 17) evolving from the wire end. |
