PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricating oil lowered in moisture absorption and improved in lubricating properties, cleanability and ozone layer nondestructivity by using a specific polycarbonate and a specific monocarbonate. CONSTITUTION:100wt.% in total of 95-5wt.% at least one polycarbonate selected from among polycarbonates of formula I or II [R1 is a group of formula III (wherein R2 is a 30C or lower hyrocarbon group, or a 2-3C hydrocarbon group having an ether bond; R0 is ethylene and/or propylene; and (n) is 1 to 24); (m) is 1 to 6; Su is a group of formula IV; and R is a group of a formula selected from among formulae III and V to VII] and 5-95wt.% monocarbonate of formula VIII [R3 and R4 are each a 1-36C hydrocarbon group, or a glycol ether of formula IX (wherein R5 is a 1-6C hydrocarbon group; R6 is ethylene or propylene; and (y) is 1 to 100)] is blended with at most 60wt.% hydrogenated fluorocarbon. |
