PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material which is excellent in a head matching ability, a writing ability, and a sealable property. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal recording layer having a leuco dye and a developer as main components and a protective layer are successively provided on a base material, an organic particulate of 150 deg.C or higher in softening point and 150ml/100g or over in oil absorption is contained in the protective layer. A thermal recording material is preferable wherein the particulate is an agglomerate of at most 2.0mum in mean diameter of primary particle or a content of the particulate in the protective layer is at least 20wt.% and a stuck amount of the protective layer is 1-5g/m<2>. |
