The electrical connection of the supply cable to a branch cable from each lamp is made by placing the supply cable in a longitudinal channel in the body of a terminal box of insulating material from which emerge the sharp points of contacts connected to the wires in the branch cable and positioned for engagement with the two wires in the supply cable, the channel being closed by a cover slidable over the terminal box body into a secured position in a longitudinal direction by hand without tools.
