PURPOSE:To obtain a damping force varying shock absorber controller for the prevention for the vibration transmission due to the damping of the vibration on a spring and the fine unevenness on a road surface, by grasping the vibration state of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A control valve 60 has a hole 66 for the exclusive use on the contraction side and a hole 67 for the exclusive use on the extension side, and a subflow passage 50 in the control valve 60 is allowed to selecctively communicate or cut off from a flow passage 56 for the exclusive use on the contraction side and a flow passage 57 for the exclusive use on the extension side, by the turn of the control valve 60. The controller can select the magnitude of the damping force for carrying out the damping action for the movement of a vehicle, according to the traveling state of the vehicle. Accordingly, the damping force varying shock absorber controller serves for the prevention for the vibration transmission due to the damping for the vibration on a spring and the fine unevenness on a road surface, and the drive feeling of the vehicle can be improved, realizing the characteristic nearly same to that of a sky hook damper. |
