PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic reproducing device detecting a non-recorded part of an audio signal, also counting a control signal and performing a program searching control by detecting the time of the non-recorded part. CONSTITUTION:In the magnetic reproducing device, the program searching control is performed by discriminating the non-recorded part of the audio signal recorded on an audio track of a magnetic tape. The device is provided with a reproducing means 21 to reproduce the control signal recorded on a control track of the magnetic tape, a counter means 24 to count the reproduced control signal, and non-recorded part discriminating means 9, 10 to detect a level of the audio signal recorded on the audio track and to discriminate the non- recorded part of the audio signal from the level. The device has a comparison means 25 to start the count of the counter means 24 by an output of the non- recorded part discriminating means 9 to compare with a prescribed counting value, and the program searching control is performed by detecting the length of the non-recorded part based on outputs of the comparison means 25 and of the non-recorded part 10. |
