发明名称 STARTING METHOD FOR MOLTEN CARBONATE FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To simplify starting operation, and improve efficiency by heating with the use of fuel gas for power generation till a temperature reaches about 150 deg.C, and with the use of mixed gas for power generation comprising fuel gas and steam at a higher temperature than that. CONSTITUTION:In a power generation device for a molten carbonate fuel cell provided with a reformer or a reforming chamber, for restarting the power generation device after a temperature fall after activation of reformation catalyst, or a temperature fall by stopping power generation, material gas for reformation to be used for power generation is used in specified procedures. That is, gas for power generation is supplied to the reformer or reforming chamber till a temperature reaches about 150 deg.C, and mixed gas for power generation comprising fuel gas and steam is supplied at a higher temperature than that for heating. Operation is thus simplified, workability is improved, need of gas other than gas for power generation such as hydrogen or nitrogen gas which is expensive as in conventional devices, or auxiliary devices such as a gas cylinder for supply of such gas is eliminated, and utility can be reduced, thereby compactness and reduction of power generation cost can be achieved.
