<p>PURPOSE: To adjust a presser foot in compliance with the thickness of a workpiece by the up and down movement of a rod member by providing the rod member extended downward on a position deviated from a saw, clamping the upper end of the rod member on a rising member and installing a presser foot for pressing in compliance with the thickness of the workpiece by the up and down movement of the rod member. CONSTITUTION: An upper driving arm 12 is mounted and fixed in an upper frame housing 14 and connected with a lower driving arm by a U-shaped housing supporting member 16, and a saw blade 10 is moved up and down by the movement of the driving arm. A clamp 30 is set on the upper frame housing 14, and the position of a press supporting rod member 20 can be adjusted up and down by the tension of the clamping. A presser foot 18 for pressing a workpiece is set on a deviated position on the lower end of the press supporting rod member 20 to provide the maximum rising position without being disturbed by the driving arm 12. A clearance between the presser foot 18 and a saw base 4, therefore, can be adjusted in compliance with the thickness of the workpiece mounted on the saw base 4.</p> |
