<p>PURPOSE:To provide a tape driving device which prevents damage of a tape and protects the tape at the time of turning off a power supply, in a VTR. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that a power supply is turned off and a tension arm and a spring are stopped in a extended state during tape loading. In this condition, when the power supply is turned on, a power-on pulse is supplied from a power-on pulse generator 20 to a system controller 22. It is discriminated whether the power supply is turned off or not at the time of threading from a ode string device 21 which stores successively step modes at the time of loading. If it is discriminated as 'off', the system controller 22 detects the extent of extension of the spring with a signal from a tension sensor 3. The system controller 22 controls to drive a loading motor 15 at low speed so as to move a moving guide and the tension arm until a value of the tension sensor is made fully small, and mechanical brakes 7, 8 are released.</p> |
