<p>PURPOSE:To minimize unsatisfactory transfer by actively returning toner, transferred from a drum to the transfer roller, to the surface of the drum, thereby eliminating soiling of the periphery of the transfer roller with toner, in an image forming device in which the transfer roller is apart from the photosensitive drum at the time of transfer. CONSTITUTION:When paper is not carried satisfactorily, the periphery of the transfer roller 12, separated from the surface of the drum 1, is directly rotated in contact with the drum surface based on the output of a control part 10. Also, a voltage having the same polarity of that of the charge of the toner is applied to the transfer roller 12, and toner sticking to the roller periphery is thereby transferred to the drum surface.</p> |
