<p>PURPOSE:To realize the data look-ahead whose application range is wide and has a high probability of hit by retrieving a forecasted address information storage means by the address of the access request from a central processing unit CPU to obtain the address of a forecasted next access. CONSTITUTION:When a CPU 10 issues the access request to address B after issuing the access request to data in address A, this history information is stored in a forecasted address storage means 12 by a forecasted address register means 20. When the next access request is issued from the CPU 10, its address and the forecasted address retrieved by a forecasted address retrieval means 13 before are compared with each other by a coincidence detecting means 17 to check whether they coincide with each other or not. In the case of non- coincidence, the preceding forecasted access result is invalidated by an invalidating means 19. In the case of coincidence, data in address B which is looked ahead and is stored in a temporary storage means 16 is transmitted to the CPU 10 through a data selecting means 18.</p> |
