PURPOSE:To provide a gamma camera rotation type single photon ECT device which can improve the resolution and sensitivity for detecting by a gamma camera and obtains a tomography with improved picture quality. CONSTITUTION:A ceiling plate 25 is divided into three parts in longer direction and two ceiling plate parts 25a and 25c at both edges are supported so that they are interlocked and can be lowered and elevated freely by substrates 26a and 26b. The center ceiling plate part 25b can be removed from the ceiling plate parts 25a and 25c at both edges, and a spacing between the ceiling plate parts 25a and 25c at both edges when the center ceiling part 25b is removed is longer than a length M which is in parallel with the longer direction of the ceiling plate 25 of a gamma camera 24. When the center ceiling plate 25b is removed, the interested part of a specimen is positioned there and the gamma camera 24 is rotated around the interested part for shooting, the gamma camera 24 can be brought fully closer to the specimen without any interference with the ceiling plate 25, thus improving the resolution and sensitivity of the gamma camera 24.
