PURPOSE:To know the time of automatic origination to a managing device by the self-diagnosis of an image forming device at all times by adding the time of origination to data for automatic origination by a communication controller. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device (PPC) 1 has a self-diagnostic means and is equipped with the communication controller 18 which transmits a self- diagnostic result to the managing device 16. Then the communication controller 18 is provided with a means which adds the time of origination to data for origination to the managing device 16. Namely, the communication controller 18 adds the time of origination to the data for the automatic origination when the result of the self-diagnosis is transmitted to the managing device 16, so even if data transmission is delayed owing to the in-use state of a public telephone network 17, etc., the actual time of the automatic origination can be known. Further, even the PPC 1 having no timer function can know the origination time. |
