PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid agent of Clostridium butyricum causing no germination of its spore cell even in the presence of water and capable of readily administering by keeping a liquid containing Clostridium butyricum to acidity or including phenylalanine and/or asparagine in the liquid. CONSTITUTION:A liquid agent of Clostridium butyricum consisting mainly of Clostridium butyricum and kept to acidity (preferably pH2-5, especially 4-5) in a normal state or a liquid agent of Clostridium butyricum consisting mainly of Clostridium butyricum and containing >=0.1% phenylalanine or asparagine. The Clostridium butyricum includes preferably e.g. Clostridium butyricum NIP1006 (FERM P-11868), NIP1015 (FERM P-11869), NIP1017 (FERM P-11870), especially preferably Clostridium butyricum Miyairi 588 (FERM P-2789). This liquid agent is used for improving symptoms due to abnormality of intestinal bacterial flora of human and animals. The liquid agent is used as a syrup, limonades, a drink agent, a soft drink water, a liquid food, a semi-fluid food, ice cream, etc. |
