HOLDER FOR TRANSPORTATION OF SUBSTRATE FOR HARD DISK

PURPOSE:To provide the holder for transportation capable of holding and transporting a substrate for a hard disk without generating contact flaws, such as rubbing flaws and dents. CONSTITUTION:Plural disk-shaped holding pieces 16 having V-grooves to be fitted with the outer peripheral surface of a substrate 12 are mounted on a pedestal 15 to be mounted on a conveyor 10 in the state of positioning these V-groove within the same perpendicular plane in such a manner that these pieces can rotate freely and can hold the outer peripheral part of the substrate at plural points. The angle formed by both groove walls with the inclination of the V-grooves of the holding pieces 16 is set larger than the angle formed by both slopes of the chamfered part 12a of the substrate 12 so that the substrate is held in the state of point contact with the groove walls of the V- grooves in the angle parts of the outer periphery.
