<p>PURPOSE:To print properly by a method wherein a printing duty of a pi- character pattern is calculated and when the printing duty is lower than a prescribed value, the pi-character pattern is straightly developed in a printing buffer, and when it is not lower than the prescribed value, the pi-character pattern is synthesized with a correction pattern to be developed in the printing buffer. CONSTITUTION:A pi-character input means 4, 5 input a pi-character pattern by selecting dots to be printed from a prescribed number of dots. The pi- character pattern inputted by the pi-character input means 4, 5 is registered into a pi-character pattern buffer 31. A printing load judgement means 24 judges a printing load applied on a thermal head 20 based on a ratio between the prescribed number of dots and the number of selected dots. A correction pattern memory means 33 stores a correction pattern for correcting the pi-character pattern in accordance with the printing load judged by the means 24. A print control means 30 controls the thermal head 20 based on the pi-character pattern and correction pattern.</p> |
