<p>PURPOSE: To provide a flexible lever-operated door lock assembly that can be mounted to any typical location of a door. CONSTITUTION: A door lock assembly 20 is provided with outer and inner sub assemblies 21 and 55. An inner lever 56 is assembled to an insert 62 for supporting a rose-type insert 64. A semicircular spindle 78 and a circular spindle 80 are passed through a spring bias device including a spring 76 and a bearing 88 that is supported by a security shield 86. An outer lever 22 is assembled to the insert 24. A rose-type insert 32, the bias device including a spring 40, and a cover 48 are assembled onto the insert 24. A latch assembly 94 including a latch bolt 96 is connected to levers 22 and 56 via the semicircular spindle 94, and a bolt 96 is moved by operating the lever.</p> |
