PURPOSE:To certainly monitor the generation of trouble under an upper press mechanism in a box making apparatus closing the lower flaps of a box material to seal them by a tape. CONSTITUTION:The front and rear inner flaps and left and right outer flaps provided to the lower part of a box frame are turned in the opening surface provided to the under side of the box frame by a lower flap turning-in mechanism 22 while the flotation of a box material 1a or 1b is suppressed by an upper press mechanism 21. The left and right outer flaps of the lower part of the box material are sealed by a tape using an upward taping head 23 while the box material sent out to the taping head 23 from the lower flap turning-in mechanism 22 is held between a pair of side belts 24 to be forcibly transferred. The flotation of the box material sent out to the taping head 23 is prescribed by the upper press mechanism 21. In the upper press mechanism 21, the lift member 51 allowed to protrude from the rear part of the box material to the central part thereof is provided on the lower flap turning-in mechanism 22 in a free liftable manner and two rows of rollers 58 preventing the flotation of the box material are provided to both left and right side parts of the lift member 51 so as to be supported in a left and right direction. |
