PURPOSE:To attain remote control for the monitoring, the setting/change, etc., of a device state by applying the logical multiplication to a user data communication packet and a remote control packet within a TA and also to simultaneously perform the communication of the user data and the remote control. CONSTITUTION:The remote control of a terminal adaptor is carried out for connection of an X.25 terminal to an ISDN packet switching service system. At the same time, a logical multiplexing part 7 separates a user communication packet from a remote control packet to perform the logical multiplication. A remote control part 9 carries out the monitoring of the state, the setting and change of the terminal adaptor, etc. A layer-3 control part 8 performs the X.25 communication protocol control and then carries out the conversion of data to send the packet data received from a ISDN packet switching circuit to the part 9. The part 8 also turns the data received from the part 9 into a packet.
