PRODUCTION OF SQUARE FIBER-REINFORCED PLASTIC PIPE AND PRODUCTION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To mold a hollow square FRP pipe of an arbitrary wall thickness by rotating a frame at a low speed by a method wherein a mixture of a glass fiber with a resin is supplied to the hollow square frame rotating and horizontally moving in the direction of a rotating shaft, and the mixture is deaerated by being pressed by an impregnating and deaerating device following the displacement of the inner surface of the frame to its axis of rotation caused by its rotation. CONSTITUTION:In a hollow circular frame 1 which is rotating, a hollow square frame 1a is so fixed as to horizontally move in the direction of the rotating shaft of the frame 1. Glass roving 11 is cut and mixed with a resin composition 12. The mixture is supplied to the inner surface of the frame 1a by a supply device 7. The supplied mixture is infiltrated and deaerated by an impregnating and deaerating device 8 rotating in contact with the inner surface of the frame 1a. A copying device 15 is connected to the impregnating and deaerating devive 8 and fixed within the frame 1a together with the supply device 7 by a fixing arm 9. The copying device 15 allows the impregnating and deaerating device 8 to follow the displacement of the inner surface of the frame 1a to the rotating shaft of the frame.
