PURPOSE:To increase the strength of core-material resin and a skin material by integrally sticking the skin material on the surface of a thermoplastic resin core material, and also by forming the exposed part of the core material in at least one place on the surface of an instrument panel, and by providing at least Pa core-material layer penetrating holes to this exposed part. CONSTITUTION:In an instrument panel in which a skin material 6 is stuck on a thermoplastic resin core material 7, each one exposed part 8 where the core material 7 is exposed without being provided with the skin material 6 is provided on both the right and left sides of the instrument panel, and a plurality of penetrating holes 10 are formed in the respective exposed parts 8. The end of the skin material 6 is pressed against the core-material resin side, so that the end surface of the skin material 6 can be prevented from being brought onto the surface at the boundary of the exposed core material 7, and also the core material part 7 is raised so as to be brought into contact with the end surface of the skin material, and the end surface of the skin material 6 is buried in and fixed to the exposed core-material resin surface, so that a groove 9 is formed in the boundary part between the end part of the skin material 6 and the exposed part 8 of the core material. Thus, the joining strength of the core material 7 and the skin material 6 can be increased, and also the end surface of the skin material 6 surrounding the opening part can be finely finished. |
