PURPOSE:To enlarge extremely a temperature range for making transparency by a method wherein a thermal recording layer in which an organic carboxylic acid derivative expressed by the specific general formula is distributed over an width of a resin parent material is provided on a base material. CONSTITUTION:An organic solvent is added to a mixture of respective specific amounts of an organic carboxylic acid derivative as expressed by the formula I (A represents at least 12C straight chain saturated hydrocarbon group, X represents -OH, -NH each of which is combined with any C atom of A, and n represents an integer of at least 2 for -OH and at least 1 for-NH.) and a resin parent material, which are dispersed in a ball mill to prepare an applicating solution. A specific amount of the applicating solution is applied onto a base material of a plastic film or the like, dried, and a thermal recording layer is laminated to obtain a reversible thermal recording medium. Concretely, a magnetic layer 2, a smooth layer 3, a metalized layer 4, a reversible thermal recording layer 5, and a protective layer 6 are successively laminated to form the reversible thermal recording medium. |
