The head driving device of the thermal transfer color printer consists of a central processing device (1), a memory (2) to store the thermal data equivalent to the amount of one line, an adress counter (3) to read the thermal data of one line amount, a level counter (4) to determine the level of the color, a first comparator (5) to compare the color level value with the thermal data of parallel value stored and to generate serial value according to the color level, and a second comparator (10) to provide the changed value according to the temperature detected.
